Friday in Studio

Today, we are 8 days into our Kickstarter fundraising month.  We currently have $1,580 raised! Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far. We appreciate the support and have some more good news to announce: we have been published  on a website called "A Daily Dose of Architecture" http://archidose.blogspot.com/2012/02/barnsworth-design-build.html

Currently, we are working on constructing the roof structure for the lantern. We have most of it built (below). It is just a mock-up, but it helps us understand the construction and the building techniques.

We have put our project up on Kickstarter. We are looking for donations so that we can make this project a success. With the donations, we will be building our project, on site. Until we have the money, we can't lay the foundation. Thank you all.

Beginning of the semester

We are proud to announce our permit drawings are into Kendall County.

We also are going to be doing our own fund-raising for the project, and would love donations to help build our building. We have a website, and a facebook page and soon to be a kickstarter donation site.
